Mini Vacations ?
I received a certificate from "Mini Vacations" of Tampa Florida for 2 free nights in a hotel/motel in the locaiton of my choice selected from a list of destinations. To receive this, I had to sit through a sales pitch for an air cleaner and vacuum cleaner called a Delfin. For the curious, I didn't buy one.
I am supposed to choose a 1st 2nd and thrid choice of location or different dates at same location at least 30 days before travel and they will tell me which one I got based on availability. They do not tell you in advance which hotel but list Best Western, Sheraton, La Quinta, Amerisuites, Holiday Inn on their brochure. They want a $50 deposit at time of request for reservation which is refunded either on checkin at some unspecified locations or upon completion of my stay after I send them the hotel receipt and the original certificate for the free hotel room.
Anyhow, has anyone heard of or used Mini Vacations and how did it go ?

Mini Vacations is a legitimate deal a life insurance company I worked for used them as a promotion. However, most of the properties were on the lower end of the scale. The person who gave you the certificate gave the hotel very little, the hotel desires to make up the revenue on food/bar items.
