Talking Best flights to Cancun

Does anyone know where I can find the best priced flights to Cancun airport? All of the flights I have seen so far are in the $400 range, and I didn't know if there are any cheaper flights or if that is the standard price.

Thanks,
Regina

What airlines have you seen? I have been to Cancun three times and I have friends that have went a few more times than that. Northwest Airlines has pretty decent service to Cancun with flights to/from Detroit, Memphis, and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

I would suggest flying an actual airline down and don't go for one of those travel packages. I have heard so many nightmares about those in Cancun, especially between early February and mid-April - which is the spring break season.

When are you look at going to Cancun? I can give you some pretty good hotel suggestions.

I am actually going for a wedding in September, which will be at the Aventura Spa Palace in the Riviera Maya. Do you have any hotel suggestions for that area?

That hotel is in Playa del Carmen. If you don't want to stay there (it's expensive) try the Playa Maya it's on the beach near 8th street.

I am actually thinking about maybe either Sunscapes Riviera Maya or the Catalonia. Does anyone know about either of those?

Check out www.tripadvisor.com.

I haven't stayed at either but they get mixed reviews. Puerto Aventuras is also a bit isolated.

I would suggest looking at the CancunCare website, http://www.cancuncare.com. Be careful though, as a good junk of their members enjoy the swinger lifestyle.
