What is the best calling card to buy in the US for use in Mexico?
What is the best calling card (best rates- no hidden fees) that I can buy in the USA to give as a gift to young friends who are going out of country for the first time to use to call from Mexico to the USA?

If you have a good connection from a hotel or internet cafe, use Skype and SkypeOut. http://www.skype.com/
Skype is free, computer to computer phoning; SkypeOut is to call from your computer to a land line or cell phone, it's 2.3 cents US per minute. If you connection is slower than a slow DSL it can be a bit tinny, choppy; I use it on a 144 k connection and it's generally OK calling to land line phones and very good calling to other Skype computers. I don't know if it will be workable on a 56K dialup.

Thanks for the information. I guess I should have made my question a bit clearer. I am looking to buy (in the USA) a calling card that can be easily used in Mexico that has good rates and not abusive "extra" charges. I want to give the calling card as a going away gift for some young friends who will be taking their first "out of country" trip. They will not have a computer with them.
Any ideas on which calling cards that can be bought in the USA can be used in Mexico and have good rates?
