Continue with HHonors or book nights with another program?
With HHonors new policy of stays qualifying for a 12 month consecutive period, I will have about 5 upcoming biz trips that will get me past Gold, but not to Platinum.
Since I will be travelling to major cities, I can use Marriot or Sheraton programs to stay at their properties.
Should I continue to stay at Hiltons, or try another property? For 8 nights and about $200-250/night allowance, any suggestions on which program?

Are you looking for a program that will boost you to an elite level after only 8 nights? Marriott Silver takes 10 nights. Goldpointsplus (Radisson, Park Plaza, Country Inn & Suite) will give you silver if you spend $500 or gold for $1000.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with boosting your HH points balance and hoping for unexpected trips later to get you to Diamond.
