Actually I work in WiFi these days, and we already have WiFi on airplanes. My arguments here just represent reality as I see it and as someone who has worked in telecom for many years and someone who flies at least 200,000 miles per year.

I understand. I too have an opinion, based on my perspective and extensive travel. I am also an admittedly hopeful/wistful Luddite. The time will come when we are all old gaffers pining for "the good ole days," in this and many other respects.
