Need help at CDG airport

I am flying from Florence Italy on Air France Flight 5039 to CDG and connecting with Delta flight 51. The Air France Flight is run by Cityjet and has been late nearly every day I have checked. We are scheduled to arrive at 12.10 pm and I need to get to flight 51 for a 1.20pm departure. This was done by Delta and they say I will make it. Can someone give me an idea of what to expect. I believe the flight arrives at terminal 2f and I depart at 2c. Is there a shuttle between terminals and will I have to get my luggage and recheck it again? Thanks

There is a bus shuttle between the Terminals. The luggage will go directly to your DL flight.

70 minutes should be enough but if the flight is a little bit delayed it could get really close as CDG is the worst airport to connect in Europe. And there is quite a good chance to be park likely at a remote location.

Even LHR is better. I normally plan 2+ hours if I have to connect at CDG.

If delayed contact the FA and ask them to advise the groundstaff before you land, this has worked for me before and I have been met and escorted to waiting aircraft. CDG is awful place and this could make your transit a lot easier if you are late.

I've taken the FLR-CDG flight. You park on a regional jet tarmac and have to take a bus to 2F. So add about 10 minutes or so to your connection time for this. It'll take 5 minutes to get from where you enter 2F to where you meet the shuttle. The shuttle runs outdoors on the upper level (check-in level) and there are signs telling you where to wait for it. Depending on the time of day it should be no more than a 5 minute wait for the bus.

The reason for the Florence flight being late is usual due to winds coming off the mountains above the airport. When I was leaving we had to wait 20 minutes for the wind to die down. It could be close, but you should be able to make it.
