JFK question

I have a friend who will be travelling Tuesday on a Jet Blue roundtrip ex-JFK returning later that day and then flying that night on an AA flight. He doesn't want to drag his AA bags on the Jetblue flight, nor does he want to come back to the city.

Are there any options for him?

Just really curious, why is he flying this scenario? Can't think of anything

AA might let him check his bags in for that flight early. I can't think of any baggage storage lockers at the moment.

He is seeing his son in upstate NY for the day before he takes off for a South American vacation.

I really couldn't think of anything either.

He might want to consider leaving his bags with the bellman at one of the JFK hotels for a tip.

Actually, I seem to remember in a conversation I had recently about another subject, someone said in passing that Term. 1 is the only place in JFK with a baggage check. I don't know anything about it, but have you looked into it?
