I want to book MUC-ATL with NW. Base prise is EUR 199 plus taxes. All of the European travel sites I searched list total price at around €320-€370. I tried searching their american counterparts and there prices where much lower, around €280 (NWA.com & Expedia) which is a bargain. However, all the USD sites require me to have an american credit card, which I have not.

Does anyone know why prices are so much lower on the american sites (apart from lower booking fee) and more importanly; does anyone know a way around this? Like an american TA accepting foreign cards perhaps? Or will an european card work at asian sites (like NWA japan site)?

This has surely been discussed but I didn't manage to find it on the google-search. Thank you all for any help!

I tried to find something in the price range you mentioned, found the cheapest at € 240.- plus taxes of € 145.- on www.sta.de but there is one for Austria as well.

Another possibility is getting newsletters from different airlines like AF, etc. they have excellent offers for online booking. Am looking further, but it would be nice if you would give your age and approx. date of departure and return.

Thank you for your help. But I already know what I am looking for, base prise MUC-ATL/CVG is €199 with KL/NW (VSALEUS). I could book it on KLM.de but for some reason they loaded the fare as €249 (have no idea why), totalling at around €380. On NWA.com/Expedia.com the total is around €280.
So what I want to do is buy the ticket for €280, which I haven't found on any European sites. It is still the exact same ticket though.
