Aruba hotels

So far we have narrowed the list of possibilities of available hotels for 5 nights, without kids, down to:

- Wyndham: best "corporate" rate of the big hotels

- Radisson: expensive but we've heard it's very nice. Not sure that $120/night more is worth it.

- Manchebo- smaller, reasonably priced, etc

Has anyone had particularly good or bad experiences at these?

Any must visit/avoid restaurants while we're there?

Thanks!

Since its renovation, the Radisson is well worth $120 per night. The Wyndham is OK, but I can tell you (for real!) that it is at the south end of Palm Beach, which is the windiest section. There were days when I could not stay on the beach due to the sandblasting effect. It does have a nice pool, but the Radisson is a better choice. I would not recommend the Manchebo - it's dated and fairly isolated.

When you go, I recommend a snorkeling or sunset cruise on the "Octopus" - it's independently owned and never crowded. Stay away from the Red Sail boats - they are ridiculously overcrowded. Have fun on "One Happy Island".
