Hmm... I'm thinking Cathay for no reason whatsoever

Oh, PAL was a romantic airline when it still reserved its 744 upper deck for actual beds. It was the perfect way to join the mile-high club with class, and without cramps

Not a silly question, at all. The most romantc airline is the one which is taking you to your romantic destination. Pan Am used to be the most romantic airline in the world. It took me to the most exotic places. All airplanes paled after PA. Nothing has ever compared to that non-stop PAA from SFO/HKG in FC on that small 747, when they first instituded service. Buckets of caviar, seats which stretched across 4 windows, buffet tables served in front of our seats. Now: what is the most romantic: Don't really know. Perhaps, I am too old and too jaded, but look for lovely service and know it will never compare to the travel in the 70's to Hawaii..very romantic. I hear that Air Tahiti is quite romantic. Some smaller airlines are really trying to go the extra distance.

In VS's UpperClass Suites and some other airlines' Int'l FC (I think AA's Flagship Suite has it) there are places for companions to sit and eat together. I think VS may also have some seats where you can put the divider down between the seats when they're reclined.

And I think Richard Branson has said he intends to have even further couple-friendly beds in VS's forthcoming A380s. That remains to be seen, however, and to me just sounds like it's asking for trouble.
