Changes to Airfares
I have no idea where to post this, so please excuse me in advance if I have
created a major blunder.
I recently read an article regarding regulation to airfare changes. Apparently domestic flights can only changes 3 times a day (?) Monday - Friday, and less frequently over the weekend. That of course is not to say that they cannot sell out of the "deal of the day". The article went on to list the times (EST).......
Due to our household's commitment to recycling, it went out in the bin.
Anybody aware of these schedules?

Well for those of you that do not already know about this, I found this information valuable:
ATPCO, serving as worldwide "airfare central," is jointly owned by 19 airlines, including all the major U.S. carriers. To change a published tariff, its 500-plus participating airlines around the globe must send their adjustments via phone or fax to ATPCO. The corporation, in turn, informs its paying subscribers, who then inform the world by updating fare information through computer reservations systems that are accessed by their own agents as well as travel agencies and customers on the Internet. For domestic travel, each airline may maintain thousands of fares concurrently and is permitted to change them up to three times each weekday, at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is a single round of fare changes at 5 p.m.
Happy Trails!
