Is there a gym at LAX?

Okay - just confirmed on LAX website that there isn't a gym on-site. Does anyone know if there is a hotel nearby LAX that has a gym (and showers)? A hotel with ground transportation to/from the terminal would be ideal.

It's after 10 p.m. so too late for this suggestion to do you any good, but try calling some of the neighborhood hotels: the Sheraton, Westin, Marriott, and Hilton all have gyms and may give you access for a nominal fee. All four hotels are a 5-10 minute free shuttle ride to Terminal 1.
