Windows for Views

With the search not working, don't know if this was addressed in the past, but can anyone give advice or point me to a site which would be a good guide on which window seats have truly good views in different planes? For instance, it's my experience that in the 777, 747 and 767 most seats in the front half of economy and most of business rows are blocked by wings. Am I right, and what about other models? Does it vary with airlines?

SeatGuru's seat maps show where the wings are, as well as telling you about other pitfalls (limited recline, close to the bathrooms, seats that are likely to get bumped by service carts, etc.).

The biggest pitfall is the window seats without a window (for example, row 12 on a UA 757)
SeatGuru is also good about that as well. In general, as a window-looker-outer, the best place to be is always in first class. Of course, as a non-window-looker-outer, it's also the best place to be
