You're before snow season in Denver and Chicago, after tornado season in Texas. Barring a really weird weather event, it shouldn't matter.
BTW, it's often cheaper to fly into PHX and drive, especially if you'd rent a car anyhow.
(I fly between those points fairly often, most recently two weeks ago.)
