August 2007 - WN flight from MSY to PHX on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. An unexpected pleasure.

around 3 years ago on PG BKK-LPQ, only 3 pax

couple of years ago QR DOH-RGN, only 4 pax on an A319/320 (and this was two flights consolodated onto one!) - told to sit where we wanted, the other three picked an economy row each, I pointed towards the business cabin, the stewardess nodded - happiness - the other 3 stayed in Y ...

My job as a news photog was to document empty planes and frantic airports. For three weeks I had no problem doing that. As I was in NYC shooting on Sept 11 2001, this was a welcome change after 3 days at ground zero in my hometown.
