Cab fare from EWR
Does anyone know what the cab fare now is from EWR to Manhattan's Upper West Side? It's been quite some time since I've taken one there, as I generally take the Olympia bus, but I'm looking at a late night flight, and I think I may want to get home faster.

Food for thought: It will be less expensive to call for one of the many inexpensive car services for that trip. Everybody has a preference. I like All-State: 212-333-3333. You meet them outside. There are of course services which will meet you inside but they will be more expensive.

best bet, though, is 212-777-7777. They'll have a car ready (just call when you land) and it's a sedan, not a cab.

I don't recommend this car service at all! Used them 4 times in the last 3 weeks from JFK to midtown and back. All 4 times the car showed up at least 20 minutes late. The last time, I waited an hour at JFK and spoke to them literally 8 times. Each time I was told the car would be there within 5 minutes. So I waited, and waited. After an hour, I hopped in a cab (it was now 11:45 PM) Just before going through the tunnel, I received 2 calls from 2 different drivers asking where I was.
Last week, my credit card was charged for 2 (TWO!) rides. So far they've removed one, and are saying I'll have to pay for the other.

I've had at best spotty service from Tel Aviv, Allstate, and the like (don't even MENTION Carmel), and not really any better from the "upscale" ones we use at work. The advantage of a taxi at EWR is at least there's generally one there without a wait.
