Substantial connection in DTW. Suggestions?
Hi all.
Around the end of the year, I'll be flying on NW from KIX to MSY with a connection in DTW. I'll probably have about three to four hours to wait around, and though that normally wouldn't be a problem, I'll be coming off a transpacific flight. Last time I took the flight, I wasn't in very presentable shape when the plane landed.
Any suggestions as to how I can spend that time? Should I spring for a day pass to a WorldClub in DTW? And if I did that, are any of them equipped with showers?
Thanks in advance.

DTW has showers in the main WorldClub lounge, so if you can spring for the day pass I would recomend it. Also, the airport is nice enough just that you may want to go for a bit of a walk. After a long flight that migth be the thing to do.
BTW, welcome to FT. You may get more info in the NW forum. Cheers.

I think if you are flying in WBC you might be able to acess the lounge when you land at DTW. The lounge at DTW is great for an US carriers lounge. Nothing like CX or SQ. They do have 2 showers. If you are able to find a fellow FTer who will be at DTW the same time they might let you in as a guest. If not, go for the one day pass. The airport at DTW is great for walking. Lots of different eats if you are hungry.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I realized I'd be there another hour because I'd forgotten about the switch back to standard time.
How much would a daypass run me? Or are any of you fine folks willing to sneak me in?
