Free First Class Upgrades

I found this doc on the web about the strategy for getting upgraded to first class on a regular basis.

Enjoy.

That stuff is a bunch of crap. "Ask to sit in F once the plane takes off?" I highly doubt this will ever work. Why would a FA let someone sit in first if they simply ask? It's more work for them, and if someone wants to sit in F, they can spend miles...or cash.

Welcome to FT. Sounds like to me this is from the rip-you-off book of great travel secrets from an ex-gate agent/airline employee etc. If you take the time to read here on FT, new member, you will learn all that is necessary for a total and complete knowledge of traveling.

Oh dear it appears the webpage has exceeded its bandwidth limit.....shame as I was hoping for a good laugh tonight

edited to say: In the end I did get the link working and have a good laugh......just ask the flight attendant if you can sit in First Class. Did people really pay for this crap?

It takes a lot of effort to get free first class upgrades in the form of:
  • Reading Flyertalk for elite status/miles giveaways
  • Earning your status and miles
  • Sweet talking the gate agent

Why would any Flyertalker need a book to tell them what they already know?

It could be the original poster's own website he's trying to promote. Just ignore him, I say...

Agreed. This stuff is a bunch of crap. Some of the "tips" in this article are ridiculous. The writing and editing (or lack thereof) indicate this isn't any kind of "professional" source.

The FC seats are usually full by the time plane takes off anyway.

That was my assessment too. The writing is so bad it was painful to read. (Occupational hazard; I'm an editor and writer.)
