Plane Quiet Headsets
I just bought 2 pairs as a wedding present. I was wondering if they're useable on all international and domestic carriers. I don't imagine that they can be used on LCCs, right? Thanks in advance.

Actually, we sometimes use them unplugged on Embraers with the noise reduction on just to enjoy the sound of (relative) silence.

YOu may need an adapter from the two mono plugs some airplanes still have to the stereo plug, if it didn't come with it. Radio shack sells them, go to

FWIW I like them and it didn't bother me as much recently losing a pair as if I had lost a $300 Bose pair. However, I'm far from an expert and there are a lot of nr headphones on the market.
Our really cheap Maxell Noisebusters probably cut the sound just as well, but the Plane Quiets have the large over-the-ear cups (similar to Bose) that are much more comfortable on overnight flights IMHO.

Received ours a few days ago (with 5% off from travelinsider). Cord has oddly-shaped 1- and 2-plug ends, and PQ supplies a Y-adapter such that an audio source can be shared. I would guess that any other adapter needed (maybe mini-to 1/4" phone or RCA, if desired) could come from Radio Shack.
Not an audiophile by any means (too much Morse in younger days) but sound quality is quite good, and NR/NC seems fine. Can't compare to Bose as they're not in the budget. Will be using them DFW-PVR (on charter 727) next week and will be glad to describe the experience.
Concur with the suggestion to move to Tech forum.
You might find better discounts on other review/sales sites.
