Don't know where to post this but Travelbuzis as good as any...
I just landed in IST a couple of hours ago and taxied right by AF1. Not surprising, since Dubya's in town.
There was another, similarly painted plane parked right next to it.
I didn't get a good view, but similar paintjob, though it looked like a smaller plane.
Anyone know what that was?
Actually, there was an impressive collection of unmarked and foreign gov't planes parked all around... (who knew the Czech republic had an air force...lol) and yes, traffic was a pain!

Press plane?
Possibly the press trail plane. When it's close to election time, they usually charter another plane for the media. Too many media for AF1

I just caught a PBS special on this the other day. Both planes always travel together using the second as a spare. If there are problems with the first, we can't have Mr. President waiting around until it is fixed.
