What Do You! Expect?

One thing I find funny is what people expect from the Hotel Industry....

Yes, We spend our dollars on a Hotel and we expect PERFECT service!
But, You as well as I KNOW it aint gonna happen in all cases!

Here are a few tips for you....

Make SURE you know the location of your Hotel and have the CSR Repeat it to you!
Make SURE they read back what you requested! Know the Rate Quoted to you..
Request an E-mail confirmation
Copy your Confirmation number! (Many people dont do this)
Same is true for Cancellations...Write down the Cancellation Number!
Make sure you have your preferences noted!
ALWAYS Get a copy of the Bill!

KNOW the Cancellation policy! And ask if there are any additional charges IE Parking etc etc.....

Be aware of the type of rate you book....Net Direct, Full Pre Payment etc
Dont DO IT THAT if your not 150% Sure!!!!!!!!!! Its not worth 10 or 15 bucks off the rate!

ALWAYS get a full response of your reservation with ALL details!!!!!!!!!

If you wanna fly by the seat of your pants on a cell phone late at night on the road and dont wanna pay attention to details...Wellllll

Guess What? Whos fault is that??????
The CSR Im sure.......

A little common sense goes a long way.....Any seasoned traveler will tell you that.....

And the most important thing of all......You arent the only person in the world!

There are MILLIONS of people out there working and trying to get ahead in life! And THEY ALL want a room. You want maximum service....Be nice!
CSR's aint there to be abused by Cell Phone charlie....
Just for a minute..Put YOURSELF in their shoes!
If you arent satisfied with a particular program,,,You have the option to change....Kinda like watching TV or listening to the Radio....
Dont like it...Change the Channel!!!!!!!!!!

Dont expect immediate gratification based on status if you havent planned ahead.....And thats true of ANY program...Airlines Hotels etc.........

Having said all that.....Dont shoot me...
This is common sense.....

Make sure you have all the details and follow up and make sure everything is as you wanted.......Because in this World he or she who doesnt make sure its what its supposed to be may be surprised when it isnt what they thought!

Remember, You are dealing with Technology and Human beings...CSR's AND The Internet....Confirm and follow up......
