SJU connection time?
I'm connecting Cape Air (STT to SJU) to UA (SJU to ORD), and am trying to get an answer as to minimum connection time. Can anyone point me to a source for this type of thing?

Welcome to FT ks_8999!
While I've never flown Cape air, I have flown other turbo props from various caribbean islands to SJU and connected to my most used airline UA.
Mind you, these were all before 9-11 so I would have to assume that security has changed. Also make note that I have been elite status on UA each time, so I had to wait maybe 1-2 people to check in at SJU for my UA flight.
One generally has to walk the length of the terminal to get from where the prop terminals are to UA. Total connection times (disembark, get bags, clear customs, check bags, receive boarding passes, get to departure gate) have averaged 30 minutes.
Today if I was in your situation, I would call UA and see if they have reciprocal baggage w/Cape Air. If so, I would check bags in STT all the way through to ORD. Also, I believe UA has one flight to ORD on Saturdays from STT. Perhaps you could check in your bags through to ORD w/Cape air, but receive your UA boarding passes in STT for your UA SJU-ORD flight thus avoiding any checkin headaches in SJU w/UA.

Thanks for the hints. I will not have any checked luggage, and I shouldn't have to clear customs either, coming from St. Thomas. I am flying on a Tuesday, so that is why I am not flying UA from STT to ORD.
Thanks.
Thanks.
