As far as I found in research this has never been asked specifically. We'll save the cold weather question for another thread. This identification will be challenging for some because geography will vary greatly in people's tastes. So lets be sure that if a resort is selected it meets the following criteria:

The property is visually stunning at your introduction.

The location is superb and considered a "go to" kind of place by most travelers.

The service must be superior. (This can be subjective due to personal experience.)

Lastly, would you place this location on your "must see once in my lifetime" list?

I suspect that people understand what kinds of properties fall into this category. For example, most people would place the Hilton Waikoloa on this list. This is just an example. Please do not get off topic slamming the example. (That can be done in the Hilton forum.)

When you answer please mention the properties amenities. What makes it really cool? Do they cater toward children? Is it an adult only / romantic kind of place?

Perhaps we can identify the best resorts in one thread.
