Normal Mail Delivery Times

I know what the post office says, but what has been your experience with sending ordinary letters to Belgium and to South Africa? How long does it usually take your 1/2 ounce letters to arrive in Belgium or South Africa?

By the way, the standard airmail postage (80 cents) for destinations overseas will pay for 1 ounce. No more half-ounces.
