B-747 OVERWATER ENGINE FAILURE Suggested sequence of events
1. Continue to destination
2. 3 engine approach & landing---no change from 4 engine approach.

I was on a BA 747 out of LHR to MIA when we had one engine fail after two hours. The pilot turned straight back to LHR.

I remember seeing a programme on TV with a test pilot saying that the only way he would be totally comfortable was if his plane had 29 engines...........on each side.
