LAX to Riyadh
Hi all,
Looks like I'll be going to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia sometime in the next month. The client will likely pay for a coach ticket. Of course, this seems incredibly unpleasant for a me, especially given the fact that I'm 6'4".
I have 100,000+ miles built up in several accounts (UA, DL, HP, and YX). Will any of these help me get an upgrade on a reasonable routing to RUH? I've looked, but haven't found. Hopefully someone else knows more about this that I.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Well if you have UA miles you can upgrade on Lufthansa. You can even use a SWU on LH now. Just book it as a UA codeshare. DL miles should help on AF and HP on BA.
If you can't upgrade, think about flying Saudi Air as they have very roomy 777's and hopefully not too many people on the New York-Riyahd run.

I'm not sire that HP miles will help upgrade on BA - I think you can only upgrade on BA using either BA miles or Asiamiles.
Any chance you could get your client to spring for World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy). It would make the journey a LOT more pleasant.
Have a nice time in RUH, I spent 6 never to be forgotten months there in 2001.
