One and Only Resorts

Anyone stayed at any of the One and Only resorts?

They are:

Pamilla Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico
Ocean Club, Paradise Island Bahamas
Royal Mirage, Dubai
Le Touessek or Le Saint Geran, Mauritius
Kanuhura, Maldives

yes I have and will do every year. They are fantastic, especially Le St. Gran and Kanuhura.
I could write a book about them, they are so good. If you want peace, glorious surroundings, perfect service, fabulous food, you are at the right address. The only one I have to try yet is the one in Dubai. I am looking forward to it, next winter.

My uncle recently came back from LSG in Mauritius and said it was superb and he does amazing holidays around 4 times per year.

He stayed in a private villa with I think three butlers a private pool and his own chef! I should have asked him more about it!

Well,

they are also very expensive, especially in the high season and I can assure you that they are different from Starwood Hotels. But since I love points and status benefits I got hooked to Starwood (and the Amex FHR Hotels).

In really good economic times (1997) we stayed at Palmilla in Cabo and it was sublime. I am thinking the rate was about $575 a night. Fine linens, fresh flowers, and ice refilled constantly by invisible staff and the room opened onto a cliff overlooking some incredible rock formations jutting out of the surf. This was second only to Sandy Lane in Barbados (prior to reconstruction) which was the best hotel I ever stayed at for much the same reasons as Palmilla.
