I am getting married in Jamaica at the end of May 2004. Most people attending the wedding will be flying from either the NYC area or the South (Atlanta, Birmingham, etc.). There are currently great prices available from NYC to MBJ, ranging from $250-$375 roundtrip. Unfortunately, all of the deals seem to end on May 23 and our wedding is the following week.

I would imagine that prices will eventually come down, but for now the same NYC to MBJ trip is going for around $600 for the dates our guests will need. I was hoping that someone out there could give me some idea of prices they have paid for the same time period in the past. Perhaps some of you frequent Jamaica and can shed some light on typical airfare patterns there?

Of course, I also open to suggestions of any great travel agents, online booking ideas, etc. I'm being bombarded with questions from my family/friends so any insight is welcome. Thanks.

If there is a particular airline you are looking at, I would look into their group travel programs. Most of them have a special program for weddings- usually 10% but I hear that this could also be negotiable.

This also depends on the number of people who will be attending your wedding (I assume it will be more than 10).
