Best *A aircraft for transatlantic routes?
Hey all,
I'm going ATL-LHR on Star Alliance this summer. For my fare, dates, and times, it looks like my choices are:
CRJ to IAD and 747 on to LHR
CRJ to IAD and 777 on to LHR
A340 to FRA and A320 on to LHR
Of the three options above, which is the best in terms of aircraft?

Do u have status with United? The 747, although no PTV's in coach, does have E+ seating which you can prebook if you have status.
Some of the UA 777's are configured with E+ though with last minute equipment changes, you just never know.
Ultimately, it comes down to what is most important to you. More leg room? Entertainment?
To be honest, it's such a short flight (relatively speaking) that I doubt any of these differences would be that big of a deal.

Hi all!
I have made this trip numerous times, as I'm sure many people on this forum have also done. My personal preference is for the 777 transatlantic, simply for the PTV. However if you have status, then E+ is great aswell.
Safe trip, and hope you have a great time in London!
