safe in toronto

i was a little bit nervous about travelling on my own to a big city, but it was no problem! the hostel i stayed at made me feel comfortable and safe - i even stayed in a co-ed dorm my last night, and felt at home. if you're travelling alone, canadiana backpackers is totally social and fun. go to http://www.canadianalodging.com and they'll take care of you.
