Does anyone have any great resources for travel to south pacific (e.g. bora bora) Trying to plan a honeymoon there-- not spend a ton but have a great time.

Just honeymooned in French Polynesia -- Bora Bora, Moorea, and Tahiti -- and after much comparison shopping, I used Dream Travel Tahiti. They are a local agency based in Tahiti and recommended by French Polynesia travel expert Jan Prince (get her book -- it's the only guide book that you will need). It was my experience that their knowledge and deals beat all of the competition (much of which is US based), including the aforementioned Discover Wholesale Travel. Do a lot of comparison shopping, but give Dream Travel Tahiti a try, and ask for Caroline. I suspect they will be able to beat any price quoted by their competitors. And I'm positive that you will be pleased with their local expertise, service, and prices.

As an aside, I was really impressed with the Sheraton Moorea. My wife and I were both enamored with their horizon overwater bungalow, finding it superior to even that of the well-regarded Bora Bora Lagoon Resort where we also stayed. If there is a clearer stretch of water in the entire world than that fronting the Sheraton Moorea, I would be astounded.

Lastly, welcome to FlyerTalk!

The best resource on the net is www.tahiti-explorer.com. Very helpful bulletin boards and lots of good info and trip reports.

You might also take a look at this compilation thread in the FT Travel - South Pacific forum:
