Which Airline?

Yeah, yeah, I know - we're not supposed to post "which xxx" in these fora. But I need some advice:

I think I'm going to take a temporary assignment in PHX (I'm in BUF). I can get there direct (sometimes) on WN, but I don't think I'd use their FF program. My normal airline is US (I'm currently plat [CP]) but the future of US is not as sanguine as I'd like.

I also am an FF member of BA, so maybe AA would be the right choice - can the miles be used on BA?.

Also have a small amount of miles (~25K) on NW, but I don't know what their schedule is. Their partnership with KLM looks interesting, tho.

So - should I stick with US or go to another? If I switch, should I look for a status comp.

Go with US and dump the miles into Lufthansa's Miles & More. AA may work, but the schedules are lighter and more likely to be nailed by weather in winter.

Umm ... let me see. I join the LH club (Senators?) and use that number for the miles? Never thought of that.

So I've got about 320K with US. I could maybe get another 80-100K on US with upgrades and so on. Less would go into the LH account because I have no status with them. Could I get LH to comp me or something? This is a new wrinkle I hadn't thought of.
