Thanksgiving bumping

Am planning a trip from Miami to New York sometime during the time period of November 22-29. Wouldn't mind getting bumped as the schedule is pretty open. Any suggestions for the best times to book the flights? Thank you for your help.

The Wednesday evening before and the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving are the best in my experiences. I have gotten vouchers off 2 airlines for 2 years running now.

Would echo others here. I always book flights for the evening Wednesday outbound and then late afternoon on Sunday or early Monday morning for the return. Good luck!!

I'm flying with NWA LCY(London City)-AMS-DTW-SFO on Wed 11/26. The AMS-DTW is almost empty but the DTW-SFO departing at 15:35 looks pretty full already. I'm hoping for some lovely bump vouchers.

From Miamo to New York - Check which day has the most cruise ships coming into port, probably best luck there.

From New York - The Wednesday before probably.
