Eurostar question
I need to book my in-laws on the Eurostar from London to Paris. Could someone please educate me on the different classes of service and whether they are worth the difference in price. Thanks.

On the London-Paris route there is standard class and first class. As the trip is only 3 hours, it's not a great difference; 1st has a little more room and one side of the aisle is in single seats, the other double.
Standard seats are 2-2, little less leg room, and tend to be more crowded.
If the fare difference is not great, I would go with 1st, otherwise standard is ok for a relatively short journey.

On Eurostar, First and Premium First has a slightly higher standard than the usual 1st class in other European trains. For one thing, they are served meals (3 or 4 courses) and other nice touches. Premium First seems like a waste unless you would rather not wait for a taxi when you get to Paris, as Premium First will get you free taxi waiting for you when you arrive at your destination.
