Morocco Tours

One of my friends and I are going to Spain and we were interested in taking a quick overnight trip by ferry to Morocco from Gibralter. My friend thought he had see once a few tour companies that will meet you at the ferry, take you to a market, take you to the hotel, etc.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

If you arrive without a tour guide, you will be approached dozens of times with offers to hire a guide. Some of them will be very aggressive.

It might to possible to arrange a tour of Tangier in Gibraltar. I didn't pay much attention to the travel agency windows in Gibraltar. The James Bond film "The Living Daylights" has some scenes of Tangiers.

Just remember that the US Govt. has banned travel out of Gib to Africa for military personnel and families, even in civilian clothes. From my information I wouldn't risk it at this time. There is a lot going on you don't hear about in the press or from travel agents regarding Northern Africa and US citizens as targets of opportunity.
