Travelbuzz Concorde thread

With the upcoming retirement of Concorde I thought it would be interesting to see Flyertalkers experiences aboard.

How many times have you been? LHR-JFK once
How often do you fly Concorde Once in a lifetime
Did you go on it once and it was so good or convenient you went back for more? Was going to book second trip but decided against it
Do you take Concorde for business or pleasure? pleasure
What is your favourite bit of the flight? take-off
Did you prefer Air France or British Airways? only flew BA
Westbound or Eastbound: which was better? only done westbound
Favourite onboard champers: Cattier Clos du Moulin (not much choice there)
Have you sat next to any famous people? no
Are you going to enter the competition to get on one of the last flights? yes
Was one of Concorde best features it's exclusivity and has the 'Butlins' atmosphere ruined it? possibly

Thanks Fraser

Ah, what the heck...

How many times have you been? JFK-CDG Once.
How often do you fly Concorde Once in a lifetime for me also.
Did you go on it once and it was so good or convenient you went back for more? I was booked on a return flight on Concorde but the Concorde fleet had already been grounded for good on Air France.
Do you take Concorde for business or pleasure? Pleasure.
What is your favourite bit of the flight? The entire flight.
Did you prefer Air France or British Airways? I only flew Air France.
Westbound or Eastbound: which was better? I only went eastbound.
Favourite onboard champers: I do not drink alcoholic beverages.
Have you sat next to any famous people? No.
Are you going to enter the competition to get on one of the last flights? Probably not, as I already had been on one of the last flights on Air France.
Was one of Concorde best features it's exclusivity and has the 'Butlins' atmosphere ruined it? I am not sure how to answer this question...

To clarify this bit:

British Airways offered a promo after the retirement was annonced that you could fly one way Concorde and one way in Economy for about $3000 or something. Loads of first timers booked up and the Concorde lounge has been flooded with camera wielding one timers and people who seem to steal everything that isnt shackled to the ground. People on the BA board here have commented on this and said that it detracts from the usual experience you used to get when there were perhaps a handful of one timers and others aboard were the usual Concorde crowd.

Sorry for any confusion, Canarsie and others
