Must go SEA-BUR within next few days - advice for cheap flights needed
Hi,
I will be making a SEA-BUR trip within the next few days due to attend a funeral (an unfortunate reason to travel).
Does anyone know how I can get a cheap flight? I do see a few web specials ranging from $139 to $178 RT (including taxes - a good deal). However, these are not the most convenient dates. I'll take them over the almost $500 fares I have been quoted for my preferred Sunday to Tuesday, but I know the FT community knows more than me, so I am asking for your advice.
Thanks!

UA would probably have a QCARE fare, which may be in the fare range you have been quoted. Other than checking the AS webfares, and I know this is a crappy time to be thinking of promos, etc., if you are stuck with a higher fare, remember that AS has a promo where if you fly 6 segments in M or higher, you'll get an extra 20K miles, so SEA/PDX/BUR etc. would give you 4 of those segments.

I would try Priceline. The only risk (besides not knowing your flight times) is a connection -- whereas you may be finding non-stops on your own.
Or, maybe Alaska Airlines has their internet weekend fares that might work?

Otherwise, it sounds like Priceline/Hotwire might be the best bet. Even WN climbs over $400 for those dates.
