Ticketing question
I've bought a ticket on Singapore airlines in J Class MLE-SIN-HKG. My TA tells me it's flexible, but it cost US$850.
Go to the SQ website and they quote US$606 for the same ticket.
TA says I can put in for a refund, but it will take 8 weeks to process.
There's 2 of us travelling - is it worth the hassle to save $500, or does anyone know of a better way to do this - i.e see if the airline will switch the fare & issue an MCO.....
Thanks

So long as what the TA told you was an absolutely positively definitely unmistakably sure thing that they will stand behind and guarantee will happen, go ahead and put in for the refund and sit back and relax. Then enjoy yyour trip. EIght weeks won't hurt you.
I don't know whom to make the next telephone call to if you want to take a different route or approach, or if what teh TA told you is iffy.
Note that even if the TA refunds the entire ticket and tells you to go to the web and book the $606. fare, that $606. fare might or might not be there any longer when you try.
