Cambodia, unsafe after this week? Go or not?
After the riots and cancelled TG flights this week, do I take the chance and go?
I was to go on Monday and my flight is booked on TG from Phnomm Penn on the 9th.
Any comments / sugestions?

If you were traveling tomorrow I would say don't go, but seeing as you have some time til you depart to see if things cool off, I would go if they do. Don't know about you, but I do not get to that part or the world often and if you have the chance, go for it.

Sean - First comment is: time is on your side. I don't know for certain, but assume that if you don't fly today, then tomorrow or the day after, etc will still work...
Second thing is that most likely the situation will settle enough so that you'll feel very comfortable making a GO/ NO GO decision.....kinda "pilot-like".
In any event, I wish you happy travels!!
Best wishes, Dave

I agree with the above posts Sean...things will probaly calm down enough for you to visit Cambodia without a problem..I was there in October and the infrastructure seemed solid and safe for tourists. Just use common sense and you should be fine. Enjoy!

Only TG (Thai) and PG (Bangkok Air) cancelled flights, and then only into Phnom Penh. Seven other airlines have continued to fly into Phnom Penh without incident. PG continued to fly into Siem Reap. I would not be concerned unless you are planning to visit the Thai Embassy (or what is left of it).

you can always check last minute updates on the lonelyplanet board (find the thorntree message board and southeast asia). Many people are there now and there is some bantering back and forth on the situation and similar questions as yours.
