I'll move this to TravelBuzz, which will help you get a focused response.
You might also search over there to see if the subject has previously come up, or at the "FT Airports" bulletin board.

The only lot I have used is the airport Economy parking, which is $7.00/day. They have shuttle busses to the terminals and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to catch one.
Signs throughout the terminals will navigate you to the lot, but they are rather confusing and may require some aggressive driving to follow them.

Personally, I would avoid the City Economy lot (just north of the airport) like the plague. It is crowded and the buses are slow and packed all the time (especially bad when you're returning).
Depending on where you are in relation to the airport (coming from the north or the south), there are better -and even cheaper- alternatives. My favorite is ExpressPark, south of the airport, and a bargain at $5.95 a day. To find it, take Scott Way (off Bartram Ave, just south of the airport) and make a right at the US Airways hangar. Keep going for about a mile or so and you'll see the lot to your left.

If it's not your dime or you're only flying for a day or two, I'd use the daily garages -- I use them exclusively when flying out of PHL.
All short-term parking at PHL is in covered garages. The cost is $16 / day, which is pretty darn good considering you can walk directly into the airport from the garage (no more than 100 feet). Comparable parking at other major airports would be charged as an hourly lot!
The airport connectors are on garage level 2, so park there if you can.
There are four short-term garages, based on what terminal you're flying out of (A, B, C, and D-E-F) -- just follow the signs after coming off Exit 12 on I-95.
One more thing ... make sure you write down not only the pole letter/number you park by but the level you're on as well! Failure to follow my own advice has left me wandering in that garage on many a cold night.

I like the Ramada Park-n-Jet. $5.95/day, and occasionally you'll get a ValUPak flyer in the mail for $1 off.
Take 95 to exit 9A (291), make a right, and make a left into the Ramada.

I haven't used them in Philly, but do use Avistar exclusivly at four other airports and never had any trouble with them. Their website is over at www.avistarparking.com, you can print out coupons that offer some decent discounts sometimes, but make sure to make a reservation, they get busy.
