UA or TG to BKK?

I've flown TG to BKK.
The question you need to ask is do you want to earn miles or would you rather have a cheap fare. For me, if I can save $300+ on an airfare by bidding on air tickets, I don't care about the miles.
I used bid for cheap tickets at http://www.skyauction.com Have traveled to Japan (2 times) BKK (2 times) using skyauction.com and tickets on TG. I've also used skyauction for tickets to Europe as well on UA.
I fly out of ORD.
