Lacsa Airlines

I am going to Costa Rica. Anyone ever flown Lacsa Airlines? How are they? Anyone know how much they are going to charge me to take a few surfboards?

Hi
Lacsa are OK. You will probably be on an A320, which is a decent plane to fly in, unless you're flying more than 3 hours non-stop. Their on-time performance has improved. However, luggage problems are common. Also make sure to lock ur personal check-in luggage. As for the surfboards... I have no idea. Look up the Office phone numbers for the city you live or the closest major city...they should offer some assistance
Enjoy Costa Rica

Lacsa is a fine airline, but I too have "lost" some items from my luggage. Ditto with Avianca. It must be a local custom.

I was scheduled on a delta flight from ATL-SJO a little while back. My flight to ATL was canceled, and I was re-routed through JFK, then to SJO on Lacsa on the 1am flight. Much to my surprise, it wasn't bad at all. I even ate the meal and enjoyed it. I was so exhausted I slept most of the flight, but even in a middle seat in coach it wasn't that bad.

Enjoy your flight, and enjoy Costa Rica. It's a great country.

The problem is probably with the MIA baggage handlers if recent news articles are to be treated seriously. They suggest wrapping tape around your suitcases.
