Hilton Honors

I am new to this, so I do not know if this is where I should be posting this or not... I wanted to know, is there a way that I can combine my new Hilton Honors account with one of my family members, who is currently a HHonors gold member? Somebody told me that it was possible, yet I do not see where to do this on the site... Could somebody let me know? Thanks

Welcome to FT footdoc!

First, here's the link to the Hilton forum.

Second, yes two accounts can be combined. My understanding is that it's for spouses. And it just now occurs to me that whether that includes domestic spouses I really don't know. I suppose I should track that down. Rather than wading through the HHonors Web site, it might be far less time-consuming to just call 1-800-HHONORS and talk to a live bot!

Similarly, I wound up with more than 1 HHonors account and they gladly combined the two for me. So, it's definitely possible to combine accounts. Don't know the rules as to which accounts can be combined... but if you don't get the answer you want the first time you might just try calling back.

"HHonors Mutual Fund benefits are designed to allow legally married couples to combine their point earnings toward Rewards, and/or to combine their stay/point earnings toward special promotion qualifications or VIP qualification."

P.S. A recent post in the following thread ( http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum57/HTML/006001.html ) suggests that the requirement of being a legally married couple does no longer apply, but I'm not convinced that this is not a case of misinformation (not by a poster, but by a HH rep giving this information).

&lt;Edited to add P.S.&gt;

Currently, the HHonors Terms & Conditions say:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">HHonors Mutual Fund accounts are available only to couples legally married under the laws of the state or province or country in which the couple resides. </font>
