Home exchanges
Is there a flyertalk forum about home exchanges? I could not find one. Does anyone have any experience with homeexchange.com or any other exchange services? If any others have an interest in this topic maybe we could start a new forum.

Home exchanges are an interesting idea. I recently let a friend of a friend use my place here in Anchorage for 5 days while I was out of state on business. It worked out well and I wouldn't be opposed to doing something like it again. Having the "friend of a friend" reference made me feel much more secure. I don't think I'd be too excited about strangers using my residence, but I wouldn't be opposed to sharing it with FT'ers etc.

I have let (previously) trusted friends use 3 of the places I lived at while I was overseas. Not one of them got the hint I expected my abode to be in the condition it was when I left.
I would consider exchanging a vacation home with a known tidy friend, but not my main home any more.
