No Sorry, I booked before going to make sure I had the reservation. Don't remember the price, just that is was reasonable.

Also the rent-a-car we had was for pickup in Ayers Rock, but drop off in Alice Springs. Took a very rugged off road road to get to Alice Springs, did not see any other vehicles for hours (made the wife very nervous )

Well - Thanks again for everyone who has responded this far. Just an update. I have decided YES....to do the Red Centre!

Only thing I am trying to do now is find the ala carte way to see what I want to without any big tour thing...I like the on my own deals...so that is the next step. Should you have any info on how to get the ala carte sightseeing options by all means I will be listening.
