Marked Files

In a recent posting, someone remarked, "If I was the FA I would have marked his file so he was watched more closely....."

Can any employee mark a file? Imagine I had this friend who complained a bit too loudly about an issue with a gate agent, am I....err....that friend marked for life?

I believe an employee can mark the file for that particular flight. It happened to me where my wife yelled out a gate agent and then afterwards on every flight on that trip we got our bags searched. Otherwise it happens sporadically as you'd expect.

Just conjecture, of course.

Yes, employees can mark a file and post 9-11 are even encouraged to do so. I have a badly damanged ankle and even though I have never asked for assistence, I am usually greeted with more assistence than I want. Depending on the airline. NW drives me crazy. If I want help I will ask for it!
