Vegas On Strike?
One of the newsletters I got today mentions a possible strike vote by one of the unions in Las Vegas that handles the maids, cooks, bellmen at 33 of the hotels there. Strike vote is to be held next week at the convention center, and it could be a rough summer if the strike happens.
Most of the larger hotels are affected if the strike happens, while some, like MGM and Venetian, either don't have their union contracts expiring now, or are not in that union.
Hope the mediators can settle quickly!!
Anyone else hear about this, and any further news or info is appreciated, as we're planning a trip to LAS in July, and the last strike they had was a long one.
