Dreadful beyond all telling. If you can change do so now. If you must and you fancy a drink take your own as the Captain may not allow served on religious grounds. If you like Coke, they may tell you that they haven't got any, check the drink cart, they do for some reason they all want to take it home. Safety is a joke, and service is non-existant. they all seem to come from the upper echelons of Egyptian society and think that such matters are beneath them.
This is in total contrast to being in Egypt where I was treated with nothing but charm and courtesy.

Take TWA JFK to Cairo and earn triple miles in Biz, double miles in Coach. This, combined with the fact that your pilot probably won't spaz on you, is good enough reason to avoid Egyptair.
(See www.aa.com for info on the triple-mile promo.)

I have flown EgyptAir more than once in biz and can't really complain. It's true that they don't serve alcohol on board but you can bring your own. Food is not bad at all, IMO. Seat pitch is better than Finnair or SAS. Same goes for the service. The only downside is that smoking is allowed on the plane, so this gets everywhere in the cabin even though smoking rows are only in the back of biz and 1st. If you can then I'd suggest that you travel 1st class instead since it has a lot more space and food is a lot better, even though the price difference is very minor.
One thing I would like to warn you about is the biz/1st lounge and their restaurant in Cairo. Unfortunately, they serve second hand food there. If someone doesn't eat their bread or eggs or salad then they just put it on a clean plate and serve it to the next person. Also, be careful what shoes you wear in that restaurant since they are in the habit of throwing buckets of soapy water on the floor while the patrons are dining and wiping it off with dirty mops without any consideration for your shoes.
