Airlines May On Time Performance
On Time Performance Improved In May
Major US airlines completed 81.5 percent of flights on time in May, their best performance in two and a half years according to the Department of Transportation (DOT).
The on-time rate rose from 79.3 percent in April and 74.3 percent in the year-earlier month, the department's Bureau of Transportation Statistics said in a monthly report.
It was the highest since 83.3 percent in November 1998. Continental Airlines led the major airlines with 86.1 percent.
