"VIP Experience" at Universal Studios
I was watching the Travel Channel yesterday and they showed a tour at Universal Studios in California called the "VIP Experience" which they said cost roughly 3x what the standard tram tour costs but you were able to get off the tram, walk into buildings, sound stages, film vault etc. My question is has anyone done the upgraded tour? was it worth it? and does anyone know if they offer the same type of thing at Universal in Florida?

The "VIP Experience" at Universal Studios Hollywood, cost $125 per person.
The following is what you get with the "Vip Experience":
-A tour guide
-Walk into a soundstage, the wardrobe department, and other buildings in the backlot
-Infront of the line privilege at each attraction and show
-A private trolly that takes you around the backlot
-Lounge to relax while you wait for you tour to start
This is all done in a small group of about 15 people or so. This tour last about 6 hours and after the tour you are free to go to any attraction or show you want in the park.
This is a very good tour and I would recommend this tour. Even though it's a bit expenisve, you do get a inside look at how a movie studio lot works.
This tour is only offered at Universal Studios Hollywood. If you buy the tour, you will be given a time to come back to the lounge and wait for you tour to begin.
Hope this helps

Ditto with WannaCorona. Did this tour a
month ago. Given the crowds and the up and
down landscape at USH it was a very good
deal for persons with a limited amount of
time. Tour ended on the lower portion of
USH and we had a chance to ride the rides
not included in the tour. Good value.
